Recovery-Based Accountability
Coined by Dr. J Fraser, Ed.D.
Recovery-Based Accountability rebuilds accountability on recovery rather than punishment. The sequence is standard, drift, recovery, inspection: a clear standard is set, drift from the standard is expected and named, recovery is the skill the framework builds, and inspection checks for recovery patterns rather than compliance snapshots. The question is never whether you messed up. The question is how fast you recovered and what you learned.
The sequence
- Standard
- the expectation, set clearly
- Drift
- the slip from the standard, expected and named
- Recovery
- the return, the skill the framework builds
- Inspection
- the check for recovery patterns, not compliance snapshots
Where it lives on the platform
- Continuous-improvement work inside client engagements, including the CI Playbook
- Coaching and progress tracking across the Loop Series instruments
